Oysters are good in the refugium...They clean the water well. Lots of oysters, steamer clams, xenia, even aiptasia are awesome in sumps to help clean the water along with extra live rock, live sand, and various types of macroalgae. Mud and mangroves aren't as useful but can make your sump look cool if you build it right.
