I have a perfecto 75g, at what height should i make the baffles? I just got my ati bm 250 yesterday, so i cant wait to get some glass cut and then try to silicone it in place. The compartments will be drain & skimmer together / fuge / resouvoir then external return (iwaki 70)
I going to try to get the glass measured & cut by a glass shop, so I dont mis-measure the sizes. (i plan on drawing it on the outside of tank so shop knows where things are going to go)

any thoughts
thanks

not sure with my extreme octopus skimmer and my euroreef i was anywhere from 6 to 10 inches so i went with 8 inches in both my sumps not sure about ati skimmers. both sumps have 3 compartments first for skimmer, second for refugium, and 3rd for return pump and auto topoff sensors since that is were the water level flucuates.

well ati says the skimmer should be ran in 6-7 inches of water, so i'll build a stand for it to sit on, i'm thinking my baffles need to be at around 14-15 inches tall. that would give me a fuge area of about 20g. (18x18x14)

however this is the first sump i've ever built, designed, whatever you want to call it.

i just want to make sure im doing this right.

thanks

make sure you give your sump enough room to hold water in case of power outages, if i unplug my pump and let water drain down until it stops my sump will hold xtra water from tank until falls below over flow teeth.
