need to downsize...any tank suggestions?

I'm moving in about a month and will have to get rid of my 60 cube and livestock (for sale thread to follow tomorrow). I'm only going to have space for a 30 +/- gallon tank. Anybody have any recommendations?

All in one has great appeal so I don't have to deal with plumbing, building a sump, etc. I don't like the curved glass of the biocube. I'm just looking for a glass tank and a stand...I'm going to get upgraded lights and all of that stuff separate of the tank.

Can anybody recommend a good tank or a good website to research the pros and cons?

IM has a new series of rimless tanks. They are very nice. You could always go custom. Also look into ADA and Mr. Aqua. That's a very open ended request lol.

very vague request haha.

I know of Biocube and JBJ. I really like the JBJ Rimless 30 AIO, and so far I think I'm leaning towards that. I also like the Nuvo 16, but am not sure if this will be big enough. I had a 14g biocube before and I thought it was just a little bit too small.

I also saw the Nuvo 24, but am not sure about how a 36" x 12" tank would work. Plus I want to run LEDs (either the hydra I have now or one of the new 26s), and at 36" you'd probably need two lights.

Does anybody know how the JBJ compares with the Nuvo 30 cube? Are there any other brands worth considering?

Sawlty,
look into picoaquariums. I have dealt with Chris on many occasions and only have positive things to say about his quality and customer service.

I believe he stocks a 20g (18x18x16) and will also custom make you any size AIO you want.

I own 2 of his AIO's and absolutely love them.

Good luck.

I think I've narrowed it down to the JBJ 28 or the Biocube 29. I'm not worried about stock lights because I'm going to remove the lid and run LEDs I already have.

Does anybody have any opinions on build quality, care, AIO layouts, etc. between the two?

I have a biocube 29, it's a great tank. I've upgraded the return to a mj1200, I modded a used biocube filter to use with filter floss which is working great. My next mod is to retrofit a d120 led into the hood when I have time and ad a skimmer.
Head over to all pets and take a look at the tank I know they have the biocubes im not sure about the jbj's.
