I’m not sure what type of filtration you are using now. Here are two suggestions that might improve your filtration depending on your circumstances. Perhaps others can chime in.
• Protein Skimmer â€"œ The Tunze 9010 is quiet, has a small footprint, and is very flexible. It can be used inside your aquarium now and reconfigured for a sump later.
• Canister or Reactor â€"œ An external canister or hang-on reactor can house granular activated carbon (GAC) and granular ferric oxide (GFO) for chemical filtration or a substrate for biological filtration.
