need to order some sand. Wanna join in

More sand??? 1 ton wasn't enough??? lol ;) I might be able to find some stuff...

if you are buying live sand before you buy from Dr. look at tampa bay saltwaters live sand it is harvested south of florida and shipped under water prices very affordable only possible downside is it is a course sand Im not sure what you are looking for . the guy that runs the shop is out of town for about another week but I have been following his sponsor thread and he has some amazing stuff at very reasonable prices :p

Not a ton, just 260 lbs. It covered an average of about 1 ½ to 2 inches over ¾ of the tank. The tank has a 20ft2 surface area. When will you know what items you want? I was thinking about ordering on Monday or Tuesday.

Chris
The other ¼ or the tank. :)

I looked at the Tampa Bay Saltwaters live sand. It costs more than the Drs. sand. Thanks though.

Anybody else what to join the order???

Drs. has the 200g box of salt cheaper than the 160g size. If anybody needs salt. In fact if you add one box to the sand I am going to order, I think it only adds $1 to the shipping cost. Unless I am doing it wrong additional boxes only add about $1 to $1.50.

Just a thought.

Nobody told me not to: I did not know any better: I like the way it looks conpared to no sand: Seemed like the right thing at the time. Not sure. It is a bad idea?????

Sand is fine, but a lot of SPS people have been removing it to increase flow, remove the nutrient trap, etc. UVL super actinic T5 24" if you're doing drygoods and maybe some salt.

Not just SPS people:D

Some of the nicest "non-SPS tanks" I've ever seen are BB.

I'm just giving you a hard time Eddie:p

Most people like the look of sand and choose to put it in their tanks. I haven't had sand in my main tank for years.

Just spread it out. :) I have just enough to cover the barebottom, which isn't enough to catch much detritus...

I think I'm going back to sand, except in my main display... :) I just added some in my 50g for a hopeful addition...

Eddie~ Just LMK when you're ordering and I'll tack something on...

I will be ordering Monday night. Let me know what you want Dave A. and Randy. I will add it to the list.

Anybody else?

1 each of 24" 24W T5 Super Actinic, CD-29811, on sale for about $14. If the shipping is more than a couple of $$ don't worry about it as I can get it cheaper (and really don't need to be spending more money on the tanks right now either). Thanks.

Dave

Dave

When I added one bulb to my order, there was no increase in shipping. You only want one bulb, right. If someone else adds something it maybe $1 or $2 more.

There was a bunch of Summer Sale items listed on the Drs. website.

Ordering Monday night if anybody wants to join?????
