Need your recommendations for canopy fans.

Hi there, I am currently looking for some fans to install in a custom canopy. I am looking for something that will blow alot of air but remain as quiet as possible.

Please provide your suggestions. (I am looking to get about 3-4 fans & see if I could do away with my chiller)

These type fans are quite common and are quiet. These are for the hobby industry and might be a little expensive. They are also used for a number of cooling applications like small refrigerators and computers. You may find them other places. Google? You might also keep an eye out for old pieces of equipment with cooling fans that you can get for free or a buck and canabalize them for the fans.

PS The sunlight supply 6 inch clip on fan for $24.99 plus shipping????? You gotta be kidding. I got mine at Lowes for 6 bucks.

currently I'm using two of these and will be purchasing two more.

I'll be connecting them together using fan y connectors

It's powered by a dc transformer.

Vantec Stealths from www.newegg.com and a Harbor Freight Tools variable voltage DC power supply. That way you can vary the fan speed.

What's your budget?

If you have the room and want to go cheap, you can do it for less than fifty bucks. 4 or 5 inch fans, a variable dc wall wart, and some solder is pretty cheap. A 12 volt fan run at 3.6 volts is real quiet.

Automotive surplus stores are an amazing resource.
