NeoMarine Kalibrate any one?

When I first heard about Brightwell's new salt I thought this would be the new big thing in the industry. A search for threads containing the word Kalibrate on reef central turns up one thread. A google search for "Brightwell NeoMarine Kalibrate" comes up with a whopping... 1 hit?

How can such a good idea and money saver not even be talked about in this hobby full of over analyzers and skeptics.

Is anyone using it? I have a small bucket of it in front of me and scared to be the guinea pig.

I use NEO's salt, but have not heard about this until I read your post. So where would you buy sodium chloride and how much does that cost?

Depends on where you live davidtsx. Looks like Morton pool salt that is 100% pure is the best option. I think it was like $8-$12. I can't find it locally though has to be shipped up from Florida this time of year. Haven't really looked that hard yet either.

Not really seeing a HUGE price break for the amount of extra work that would have to go into it. You would likely need a lot of saltwater or a really massive system for it to be worth the hassle. Also, I have not been as impressed as others seem to be with BW products anyway. They are sufficient, but nowhere near as good as Tropic Marin. I think some are swayed by the book Brightwell put out. Just my take.

Well Brightwell put the book out before Brightwell Aquatics was selling products. Have you read the book? Perhaps those which have finished the book know their tanks and chemistry a bit more then those who don't and are making more informed decisions.

For a 55g tank the savings wouldn't be massive. I hate that size tank anyways though. Grown tangs can't really turn around, aquascaping is awkward.
