I'd asked a question about Apex cables a while back, and Roger responded a few times trying to get me to understand the pinouts that the Tunze required, but I had problems getting my head around the pin counting on the DIN5 cables, because some just count them 1-5 going around the circle, some count them in the DIN5 standard arrangement.
Also, in other threads and in the Apex Comprehensive Manual that Neptune Systems now distributes there were always questions about if you're looking at the female DIN5 socket when counting pins or the male end, and if the male connector end, are you looking at the back of it where you'd solder on the wires, or are you looking at the front.
Well, I purchased the Apex cable and did a continuity test, and made this picture which I hope can resolve the confusion for others like it did me. This cable works with any Tunze powerhead according to Neptune Systems.
