Nevember Meeting Follow up...

Well, it's almost midnight, and Kass just left... Just kidding...

I would like to thank everyone for comming to see my tanks. If my memory serves me correctly, there were 11 people who attended,10 club members, and I would classify that as awesome turnout! I was delighted to see everyone again, and talk at great length with I think everyone...

As you can tell, I've come a LONG way, especially this past year. I was excited to show that all off, and hopefully in the near future, have everyone back for a followup visit to see what's been done. I think you'll all agree, there's some pretty lofty goals, and big tanks to fill, I look forward to surprising you all.

John, of John and Dawn, thank you so much for the frags, especially the Zoa and Ricordia. I cant wait for them to open fully. I also look forward to swinging in the hammock and taking a gander at the "Feeding the tank" stuff you recommended. please keep me posted on the Blasto... And your gonna have to get together with me now, as I have a certain sweatshirt shown in the photo below.

This meeting I had pleasure of meeting some new faces for me.

First Johnanddawn, (who I hear from that Dawn never posts... It's like JANDLMS, only without the Lisa) I thank you for the conversations we had this evening about reefs and fish. It was far too easy to talk to you, and I fear we could spend days talking and only scratch the surface.

Scott, Mr. Yaitisme ( who looks NOTHING like his avatar - but found out that it is a picture of some other guy he does not know... Scott, I was delighted to talk to you, and I'll buy the first round when you, John, and I go out for wings... sorry we never got to drilling holes. - that guy in your avatar is just scary.)

And last but Lisa, Lishoop. Young grasshoppa... be patient, and you will have a good tank, tanks, then your own fish store. I know you want it all faster, and more, but it will come on it's own time... just focus on the stuff you have, make that great, then move forward. And remember what I said... Talkingreef.com t's a start.

Thank you again for comming. Now I'm gonna go have some salsa. Kass thinks she got it all, but I hid some in the fridge befor you all got here.

Great meeting Jason. Thank God for DVDs and young girls being easily threatened by big, mean daddies. Hope they didn't cramp anyones style and I hope the reef exposure turns them on to the hobby.

I was a great time like always I told the wife if she thinks I am crazy she needs to go over to your house.

I had stuff I had to do or I would of been the last one gone too. I could gab with all my fellow crazys forever I think other people just don't understand the addiction I guess.

Total blast in all regards. Great thanks to Jason for being a gracious host. Emily (Amanda???) and I both thank you!

I'll get some pics of the Palys up tomorrow...I got my lights running tonight and they look fantastic already...granted they're the only thing in the tank aside from some sand, but they're a centerpiece coral nonetheless!

Alright you guys are such a-holes lmao.

I TOLD you I did'nt want my picture taken. The kool-aid one looks pretty good though.
What Mike did'nt know was I put 2 fingers behind his head but I guess you can't see them. Thats why I was looking up.
Had I known it was gonna be a photo shoot I woulda wore make up lol.

AND NO JON I did'nt get lost on the way home lol.
It would have been easy on the way there had mapquest told me to turn to find Dousman.

I couldnt believe when I got in the car and it was almost 9pm lol my kid balled me out when I got home for being so late.
My hubby got called to an accident and she had to go with him but she had fun cuz the cop let her help with stuff a little and she got to sit in the firetruck.

I enjoy meeting everyone at all the meetings. I really think we have a great club and everyone is easy going and fun to talk to.
It's always nice to see old and new faces.

Jason I thought your tanks looked really good and fish looked healthy. I think your just too anal about them lol and want everything perfect. I also loved the kitties.

I wish I had the plug to that light lmao (I pmed you about it) so I could try it. Also thanks for the chaeto and the salsa.

wow!!!! thanks again! it fits just perfect in the place i had saved for it, i just hope it isn't too big and receeds from the base before it acclimates - of course i'll be watching it close i may have to break it again ;(

Wow! Looks like a great time! I couldn't attend, my grandpa brought his venison over to be ground into burger so I was able to spend the day with him... he'll be 85 next month and he still gets out on opening day, I'm so proud of him!
Also, I'll have to admit, even though I am sighing from relief I would have been sad to see my frags passed around, as I know Jon had that intention.
I do have big plans for my once freshie, once salt, and soon back to freshie 38g, and I'm happy and excited... gotta get that rock outta here!!! *waves at Fred*

OK I got the picture :lol: small little piece = frag good - my pieces = colony not good. I will get the hang of this sooner or later. Gona work on the frag tank a little today and get some of those things wacked down some.

Nice piece Fred I can see a trade in the future. I got a 75 to set up yet and I think it will be for lower light critters. My tank is pretty full now.

Ouch, woke my Mac out of a dead sleep with that shout out Mike!

Must have had fun as almost three hours flew by. Nice to see yours stuff in person J, really puts everything into scale (especially those magical PVC flow boosters, the name escapes me, d something). Forgot to ask you where you acquired your UPS from, was that an ebay purchase? Also forgot to walk around to the far side of your furnace (as your whole house dehumidifier distracted me) to check out your drilled 30 on tile stand.

BTW nice tile work in the kitchen. I purchased enough to do my kitchen, but chickened out and put in tile 'look' laminate instead (bad experience doing my own pellet stove hearth pad).

The 'little trees' and green poly's are doing fine. Those suckers really retract into the LR, thought you gave me a rock 'booby price' when I got home.
