How in the heck do you get rid of mushrooms? Anyone with ideas please share. I have thought about breaking down the left side of the tank and scrubbing the rock but if there is a easier way I'm all ears.
I would like to know the same. That is why I was warning you . The only difference is that I have about 57x the amount you have only in a 75 gallon tank--I think it is a bit too late for me. You, on the other hand, can try removing that rock altogether and getting another nice piece or two. You can probably trade them and still end up with money on your part.
The funny thing is I those red mushrooms were my first coral and have made it through 4 tanks. The last time I transfered the rock over it sat outside for 1 week baking in the sun then I scrubbed it with a wire brush and then soaked it in freshwater for 3 days before adding it to this tank. Next thing I know there is red mushrooms growing from the smallest of holes and look now, they are everywhere. I think I will remove the rock agian this weekend and see if someone wants to trade.
Very nice clint. I have heard of some people injecting them with kalk but I think you have too many to try that option. Best way in my opinion is to try to take the rocks out like mentioned earlier. Good luck with that. I hadnt seen the tank with close up pics, it looks a lot nicer. Love the reeflux 12ks. I am trying them out.
