new 120 gallon tank

been running about a month, month and a half. probably put to much in it to soon but everything looks to be doing okay. Im going to have to return the emperor angelfish keeps nipping at all the corals which is a bummer.

I've always wanted a longnose butterfly (or copperbanded) but have been told they're not reef safe. What experiences have you had re: the fish and your corals?

Very nice. Thanks for posting.

The emperor is best left to sps dominant if in a reef.
Even then they'll usually pick some. Just not enough to damage anything severely.
It can be a challenge. I'd say LPS and other sizable polyp corals are out. Even tentacles are at risk of being ripped.

The butterfly can sometimes be a risk with just some large polyp corals / small tentacles and clams. But The longnose is one of the best along with copperband to house in a reef. (they are 2 species of just a very few that are somewhat mostly safe in the correct setting. Other butterflys are not at all)

Nice specimen you have there!
