I would suggest re-thinking the skimmer placement or build a taller stand, maintenance is going to be a real pain if you have such a small space to work in.

I agree, the sump has balkheads drilled in but has creaks in for the owner before me I think I'm going to get a new sump any suggestions
 
looks like a great tank love the overflows. This stand is going to have to hold a lot of weight has is already been proven ? a lot of weight for 2x4s!

Thanks I had a 75g reef but tore it down, I had so many problems with i t leaking so I rebought my old 180
Yeah the stand came with it when I bought it new in 03 I did have it reef I had 150lbs of sand and about 400lbs of or,
