I went out today and bought a marineland 47 column tank. i beleve that my wife is going to be pretty po'ed.... i hope all goes ok here.. so posts for the 47 still go here in the nano forum right?

im also going to have to make a pvc structure to run up the back of this tank to support the LR does anyone have any tips on this.

What would be a good mix of fish for this size of tank?
What type of filter would be good for this tank seeings that its so tall? the tank measurements are 20" wide by 18" deep by 31" tall....any suggestions

Also i am planning on waiting untill tax time and i think img going to get a MH.

what would be the best MH for this tank?

would i beable to keep basicly anything with this light? and if not what would not be exceptable?
would this allow me to have clams if i wanted to way down the road?

i have this same tank i use an overflow box to a 10g sump with a turboflotor 1000 skimmer and a surge 3500 pump for a return. As for flow i use 6 powerheads @ 175gph my light is a hamilton reefstar pensant 250w HQI 14k bulb. For fish i have a pr of solomon island clowns a bangaii cardinal and a strawberry pseodochromis. Idrilled my rocks and used fiberglass rods from HD for suppoort. HTH
