New 75 Gal Skimmer Question

Hello all,

I'm currently in the middle of setting up my new 75 Gal and have a question my skimmer compartment in my sump is 7.5 inches tall I want to run a C7 Bubble Magus because of the good price however I'm concerned about that low water level since they say to run it at 9-11 inches, what do y'all think? or should i pay the extra $60 and get a 150INT Reef Octopus, Ive never run a really good skimmer before and i would really like to keep it at the highest price being the reef octopus. You have to have the water level the manufacturer ask for or it will note tune right... My New Skimz skimmer says 7 to 9 inches.It Seems like a Great skimmer. Not sure the Requirements on one for your size tank . Check bulkreefsupply.com for there specs. mine is the sm201 .
