ok so ive been in the hobby now for 10 months and now its time to upgrade im in the process of upgrading to a 90 gal. i want to re-vamp my stocking list a little. moving up to a larger footprint i want to expand a little. i have 2 clowns which the mrs. wont part with, a black and white and normal oco...1 honey damsel....1 potters angel...and 3 scissortail gobies i will be transferring over. Can i put a tang? if so what kind? is a 90 too small for a larger angel. my plan is one gorgeous display fish price is a not huge issue...just want something unique that you dont see everyday. plus how many fish could i add? what do you think?

IMO 4' tanks are wrasse tanks, 6'+ are tang tanks. And I'm not so much with the "show fish". I like a community of fish with interesting behavior and unusual looks. Some of it will depend on what kind of coral if any you plan to keep. Also, what kind of substrate and how deep.

My signature has my fish list for my 75 which is the same footprint as your 90. Good luck.

In a 90, I think you could do 1 leopard, 1 flasher and one halichoeres sp. Then do a pair of clowns, a small blenny, royal gramma and a couple smaller gobies and you'd be off and running. Maybe a Pygmy angel added last as a show fish.

You'd probably have room for a few more small fish. Again, depends on your maintenance and feeding schedules. And your substrate. Research each fish separately before adding.
