Hi all...

I am going to finish my basement and we are going to put a 998 gallon reef tank in there.

Looking for any tips on doing this. I will be uploading photos as we move along.

I currently have a 450 reef in the living room

The tank is going to be created by ATM

This is the size were looking at 11.6L X 3W x 4H

not a fan of acrylic but have no choice again.

I am going to go with acan lights for this tank and according to ATM by them doing the plumbing, I will never need any blowers for the tank.

Thoughts, comments, Ideas.

We get the blueprints on Wed so I will be able to upload a image of it.

Also I will have a 2.5W x 14X room behind the tank to work. This will be a inwall tank.

Sounds like a monster, not so sure on the 4' high though, maintenance could be a problem, how thick are you going on the acrylic?

Looks like a fun build. My 600g (96x36x46) acrylic tank is made out of 1 1/4 in. From what I was told anything between 36 in. to 60 in. they use 1 1/4 in. plastic.

My tank weighed in at just under 1000 lbs. The extra height does make it a little harder to clean but the Kent scraper works fine.

I will definitely be following along on this one.
