Most of these are LPS so I'm putting them all here. These are the new additions to my tank. Tomorrow I'm picking up a 23 head Duncan

One of these day's I'll figure out how to take good pictures. :hammer:

I really will give this a try figuring out the camera so I can show you the amazing colors of these.

Tomorrow I'll add the picture of the new Duncan colony and maybe something else or two. :D

Thanks  I am determined to figure out this picture taking so the colors show up. My Acan is an incredible red/orange and the toadstool is a small one but is green with yellow tentacles and blue tips Really cool.

aromano I heard that but what I like most about it is how much it looks like a Scolly in a few ways being a single frag. It is also my first Acan. I'd love to get a Scolly or a Meat coral but man those things are pricey!!!!

Well I went to pick up this beautiful 23 or more head Duncan and I wound up getting a Nice Purple/green Candy Cane and A red/green Blasto. I'll post pictures of them in the morning once they have all opened up. Then I'll post a couple of FTS and get every ones opinion of where to place all of my frags.

There is no better feeling than going to buy new corals, well maybe buying new fish too :D

Ok, so here are several shots of my tank, rocks and corals and how its currently laid out. I'd like some suggestions as to placement what would look best in my tank.

There are about 10 or so more pictures to come. I'll have to go back and ID some of them. I have one frogspawn that had lost all of it's tentacles but they are growing back nicely.

So I'm looking for suggestions on placement to make my tank look the best. I have more rock in my sump many med and small pieces so I can add some if needed. I'm fighting with my new 800 power heads as I think they are too much for this 40b. I may go back to my old setup with one Korilla 750 and my return pump. That's all I had before and they seem to have liked it. I've dropped down to one of the 800's and the return pump for now and still is too much in some areas. I'll play with it after I do some rearranging of my corals.

I like it, like it alot.
Really like all the sand space, wish I had more in mine as I tend to jam it full of rock.
I would add a bit more rock to yours though, seems a bit low on rock.
Keep all that sand space though, gives you room to do things.
As far as putting corals in certain places, can't help you there, I move my corals around until they are happy, so they basically tell me where to put them.
And I like to move things around just for the fun of it.

I follow you there for sure. Right now many of them are very happy where they are in the sandbed. The Frogspawn, torch all three of the Duncans and the Candy Cane are all happy. Not sure about my little blasto. The Acan is fine where it is also. The only SPS currently is the Pavona and it's on the Anemone rock LOL it's called that because there are 4 of them on it and one has been threatening to split recently but hasn't yet. LOL

All my LPS's were quite happy in the sandbed also, but when I started to move them around(more/less light - more/less flow, etc), they really started to take off.

Very nice looking additions btw. I really like that large colony of duncans!

Thanks, that Duncan colony was to replace my last one that was even better. It's the one in my avatar. It got hit with brown jelly and the smaller two head Duncan you see is all that is left of it. It had beautiful long tentacles. If you look close I have three different types of Duncans. The smallest one had longer tentacles before BJ, the larger two head is about to pop out some new heads but it has short tentacles and very large centers, the left one in that picture is actually twice that size. And this new colony has many more tentacles per head than any other that I have. Can't wait to see how long the tentacles extend on the new one. I'm going to feed all of my LPS this afternoon mysis. Love feeding them and watching them eat. :D
