New Alveopora

aka Reef'd Up
Ok, so I'm a wee bit happy about this one.

I went to the grocery store to pick up a gallon of milk...and decided to stop by the joke of a petstore beside the grocery store just to get some laughs...and found this. They didn't know what they had...so...mine!!!

BTW, it has 5 heads in case anyone cares.

:sniffle: maybe it's not so exciting since no one seems to care. I was excited b/c I haven't seen one of these before...and haven't even found much info on them. :p

Definitely not goniopora! Looks like a nice specimen. Make sure you do some research as they're a little difficult to keep.

Do you have any clown fish that might harass it? I had a goniopora and I fed it cyclopeeze with great success. Perhaps you could do the same with this guy.

Thank you for your compliment! I've tried to do some research into them, but I really haven't found much other than just the basics. I was hoping to find someone with some luck on this, but to no avail.

No, I don't have any clownfish. My corals come first...fish are pretty down on the list. :) I haven't used cyclopeeze yet with anything, but I've heard great things about it, so I will definitely try that next. I've just been feeding my other corals with a homemade mixture. The new guy didn't seem very interested in it though...(I think it hates my cooking...lol.)

Thanks for the tips!

I have the same alveopora, very easy to keep.
Give it time, when it gets used to your water
that thing is just gonna grow.
