Can anyone with an Aquapod tell me how you have your lights set up on a timer? Am I going to need three seperate timers for the three lights on the Aquapod? Amy help for a newbie is really appreciated!

Vicki

I use a Coralife Power Center like seen here:

I plug my MH light into a yellow plug, and Blue moons into a blue plug. Other accesories (pumps, heater, etc.) into white ones (un-timed).

As the Yellow plugs go off the blue plugs come on and vise versa.

I then use an additional timer on a seperate outlet for my white moons. It is set up to come on one hour prior to the MH and goes off when they come one. Then again come on for one hour after the MH goes out.

BTW: I picked mine up at PetSmart for like $20 for the dual...

Do you have the single or the dual power center? If I purchase the dual power center can I also run the third light from the Aquapod without buying another speperate timer?

Vicki

I have the dual, but I did not want my other light (white moon light) on the same cycles as the other two lights.

This is why I chose to use another seperate timer.

Well if you have the Compact Florescent lighting you could find a power strip that could fit this. It took me a little while to find this power strip, I purchaced it at Ace and bought two analog heavy duty timers too.
