Just back from the lfs and got a price for the new aquarium (to replace the one that flooded the bedroom last night)!!!
- Aquarium 50x120x60 (cm) (around 360L or 95 US Gallons)
- 6 T5 light fixtures (bulbs sold seperately) with canopy
- Sump 35x80x50 (seperated into 3 compartments) (80L or 22 US Gallons)
- Return Pump (not sure of the size)
- Filtration System and Skimmer (Tunze)
- All plumbing work
The whole lot for 1436â"šÂ¬, which is around 2000$, or £1225.
What do you think, is that expensive or a good price? The lfs said they were giving me a good discount for being a good customer but they didn't say how much of a discount (that is the discounted price). Of course they might just be saying that!
I am planning on adding 6 T5 54W lights - two moon, two white and two blue.......sound like a plan?
I will also have to get another wave maker and some more live rock - planning on 10 kilos more (I currently have around 15 kilos). I know that might not be enough but I don't want to cram too much in, I'll start with that amount and work up if necessary - before adding the livestock who seem quite happy in the rubbermaid right now!!
