I thing that something is stock in the pump, pull it out and check it.
I friend of mine have the G3 and makes no noise at all.

yeah somethings wrong,the water comming out of the standpipe should be barely flowing over.

No not at all that is wayyyyy to loud.

Just checked nothing in the pump... If I plug up the hole in the air line the noise stops.

Also If I fill the water above the red ring on the skimmer the noise stops. but so do the air bubbles.

You have an air leak in the skimmer body where it connects below the skimmer cup,where the large orange O ring is.Take it out,unless you have the room to do it there,& check & see if the cone section is seated correctly.

I cant get the cone off. which tells me its not on right.

yup it should just twist off like the skimmer cup.

If I raise the skimmer out of the water the higher I get it out of my sump the more bubbles it makes????? why is that? It seems like it works the best when it only has about 2-3 inches of water over the pump.

Take the whole skimmer out,(empty the body) & work on that bad boy on your table,you dont wanna tear the O ring on that new skimmer.You can adjust the skimmer to compensate for your sump water level,but lets fix the air leak first.

ok got it off reseated it and still the same.

I have a little silenser that came with another pump I had it is just a little cylinder with a tube going in and another coming out. I just put it on there and it got quiet. could it be getting too much air right now? maybe the silenser just did what its supposed to do?

I just got off the phone with a manager where I bought it. she said they have had a couple recalls on the pumps and they should have gotten them all off the shelf but I guess not. I will be taking it back tomorrow and getting another one.
