New Blue Mushroom

I bought a blue mushroom coral about a week ago and placed it at the bottom of my tank in an area of moderate current flow. The coral still hasn't opened up completely and sometimes he shrivels all the way up in the middle of the day. I add Iodine once a week to the tank but it still won't open up. Now, there is a white nodule on its margin which could just be a grain of sand but it has been there a couple days.

carefull with iodine easy to overdose, regular water changes will give your tank elements that it needs mushrooms are hardy corals, what kind of lighting you have.

some shrooms don't like much flow.
