New brain coral

Hi I purchased a brain coral from liveaquaria and received it yesterday I floated the bag for 45 min not sure if over did it I drip acclimating for an hour ..it has color but all it looks skeletal...no new fish in a year I have a 75 gallon aquarium with 90 lbs of live rock and a 3 1/2 inch sand bed...my parameters are

Ph 8.2
Nitrates 0
Nitrites 0
Ammonia 0
Calicum 450
Temp is 75
Lighting is t5 ati 2 54 watt aquablue special 2 54 watt actinic 1 54 watt coral 1 54 watt purple
I have 2 Hydor Koralia Evolution powerheads
And a seaclone 100 protein skimmer I heard it's not the best but it pulls alot of crud out of my tank...if you can tell me how to attach pictures I will do so...it is at the bottom of my tank all other coral doing great hoping just stressed

Now that you have hard coral, you should test for alkalinity & magnesium and adjust them to reef levels if necessary. Everything else about your set up looks good to me. You will also want to keep your nitrates & phosphate at low levels.

Acclimate it in lower light conditions for a while & eventually move it to the location you want to mount it, an area of moderate lighting & flow. It's normal for many LPS corals to show lack of polyp inflation while it adjusts to a new system. It can take some time for it to look "normal".

45 min of temp acclimation is not dangerous but unnecessary. 10-15 minutes usually is enough. Also, drip acclimation isn't necessary in most cases as the bag water is probably very close to normal reef levels of 1.026. In that case you could do the much quicker "remove & replace" water change of about 15%-20% with a few minutes in between. Some people put the coral straight in after a coral dip if the bag water & tank salinity match up.

Don't drip coral, temp for 15 minutes and put in the tank. Leave it alone and it'll get better
