New Bubble tip split.... should I worry???

forgive me as I'm new to this hobby... tank has been setup about 9 months now... 75 gallon.... exactly one month ago I added a small bubble tip anemone.. Withen one day he found a spot on the LR on bottom of tank and has been there ever since... As far as I can tell he has always been happy there.. fully open during day and never moving... I have fed him small pieces of scallop every couple days and he eats it right up....
This morning I looked in tank and directly next to him I noticed another tiny Anemone.. much small then him.. He must have split off during the night... I am alittle worried because I have read that they can split if they are stressed.. I guess I'm so new to Anemones that I have no idea how to tell if he is stressed or not... water paramaters are all normal. He is always open during day and is a great eater. once again he has never moved since he found that spot... Should I be worried that he split in only 30 days or can this be normal? thank you..

Also, the original bta is not looking to hot today... do they rest up some after they split? he looks half closed today and not very good.. Last night before bed he looked awesome... full color...fully open...im not sure what time he split, but does it take some time for them to recup after they split? its odd.

It is common for them to split when added to a new tank(a month is normal) just pay attention it is likely healing but if it bleaches or starts Falling apart you have a problem. Odds are it is fine but a picture would help

Some BTA's are very prolific. We had an RBTA that only split once in the past 2+years and in our other tank we added a rainbow BTA about 1.5 years ago and we now have ~12 of them - even after having sold 10+ over the past year.

thanks

WOW.. thats amazing...... the new half, or maybe old half, lol, who knows looks to be wide open now.... the half in the old spot is still balled up... i hear it can take a week or so for it to heal so i will keep eye on it.... funny, the new section is directly underneath the live rock sitting next to the old one... LED lights.. i wonder if my lighting too strong for them? I dont have them turned up all the way... blues are around 80% or so and whites are around 40-50%...corals are slow growing but growing slowly nonetheless.... hopefully the new half moves up a bit.

Bubble tip loves high lights. Mine splits 4 times within 1.5 years. They spent their summer directly under my led, in crevices besides my sps. All grown up and harassing my sps when they fully opened. Sold off allmy bta, bought a new purple tip sabae, hopefully it wont split too often.

My BTA split about 4 times in 2 months before I finally got rid of it. I hate those things.

I've had an RBTA for over 2 years and it has never split.
But it is almost 10" across now. My tomato clown loves it.
