Hey guys,

I just picked up a brand new 240 gallon acrylic tank. I am getting a stand build right now and the tank will be built into the wall so it looks like a piece of furniture.

I have mocked up some quick plans for the build. I am new to the hobby so let me know what you thin?

It will be a fish only tank not reef for me.

So thats why i went with the taller narrow setup.

I dont have a sump design yet.

Sounds good!

Your best move would to purchase a wet/dry sump. They rock for FO set ups.

Oh, and don't forget a skimmer. Reef Octopus will get the job done on a budget.

What is your stocking plan?

OK COOL THANKS. I am looking at a wed/dry now.

For stocking it. I would like to fill it with lots of fish. Tangs, triggers, etc.

How many fish could I put in there? Alot right?

Don't go too crazy. If you keep every thing level and filtration running at its best, you could go with three or four tangs and a few others like triggers or lion fish.

Ok cool. So my brand new tank for 400 with an overflow built in was a good deal.

I see you have an automatic water change system. How does that work?

I got my stand built and my tank is done. So I will show you guys some photos. I got a 100 gallon sump all ready to go too.

Here are some updated pictures of my tank. Let me know your thoughts?

Basically now the stand, tank, and cabinetry is done. Almost there.
