picked up this chalice yesterday about 2"x3", light blue with red streaks thru it, just couldn't turn it down for the price.

Still isnt totally happy in my tank, working on finding a good place for it.

And I got this piece, bought it as Acan hilliae, think thats what it is?

I've had that morph of chalice in the past. Likes lower light for sure. Reefermadness had a run on that moprph about a year ago. They had several real nice pieces come in.

The 2nd frag looks like it could be Moselya to me. Another lower light coral. They are coming in from australia periodically.

How far down do you think I should keep it in my tank? tank is 20" tall and has 6 39W t5's with TEk reflectors. Right now its about 6" off the bottom, but I have plenty of places for it, even some that are slightly shaded... any ideas?

Thanks,
Josh

That sounds OK. Just watch them. If they dont swell up at all and stay close to the skeleton, move them down a little.

Are your lights all daylight bulbs, or are some actinics?

1 10k bulb, 2 12k bulbs, a super actinic, and 2 Blue Plus...
3 daylight and 3 actinic/blue in short.
I am going to move the chalice down probably 4 inches and see if it likes it any better. The other ones moselya maybe.. are filling out a little more, not puffy like my lords, but puffed up a little more than they were.
