Ok, just got a pair of oscellaris clowns that are in QT. They have been there for 48 hrs now. One of the clowns is looking great in general and is eating pellet, mysis, and cyclopeeze. The second clown is not doing as well. he is not eating and his bottom and top fins are not extended. he generally stays toward the bottom and corners of the tank. he does seem to have what looks like an abrasion on the top of his head. it is on one of his white stripes and is a darker color. i haven't found any disease symptoms that match this so I believe that the darker marking was an injury that occurred during transport (was not visible at LFS and became visible after he was placed in QT). over than those things... the fish looks healthy. no sign of increased mucus production, no panting, no damage that i can see. is this fish still just getting used to his new home? i've heard not to worry about a fish that doesn't eat until he goes a week w/o interest.
any ideas?
tank parameters: 10gal QT, S.G. 1.025, temp 78degF, pH 8.0, saw a small reading in the NH3/NH4+ today so added the prescribed amount of Amquel+ and it does not seem to be affecting the fish.
