New clownfish in initial QT- showing odd gray material on its side

I purchased two Gladiator clownfish - tank breed from a LFS. Both came home on Sunday. I performed a drip acclimation since they maintain copper in their display tanks. They were in the secondary container for approx an hour. They were then netted and moved to a brand new QT tank. 5.5G with AquaClear HOB filter with a sponge moved from my display tank to the QT to help with any waste, etc. There is no real lighting on the QT, and I operate a 50W heater to around 78*. There are two pieces of PVC for hiding. There is no background or bottom. The water in the QT was brand new, just mixed that morning- same water I use in my display. These are my first two fish for the tank and wanted to go through a full QT phase first. I did not have the equipment to do the FTT method, so I just moved forward with QT.

The smaller (assuming male) seems to have on its right side gray material attached. He pretty much hangs out around the heater for the most part. Both were eating pretty decently even on the first evening home (approx 3 hours in the QT). They both ate yesterday as well. I would say the fin on that same side as the gray material moves less, but I may just be sensitive. The female seems perfectly fine.

I have not treated with anything, was just in an observe mode. I own both ParaGuard and Hikari Prazipro.

Any help in identifying what is on my new guy, and how to treat would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a video I took of him swimming- it is the easiest way to see what I am looking at. Sorry for the crap vertical. I will upload some photos shortly as well. https://youtu.be/1WZq7py_esc

The fish is showing symptoms of a possible Brooklynella infection - elevated respiration, ragged fins, and the grayish patch on its flank. Formalin dips are the standard treatment, but you can try Paraguard to see if it works - there have been some anecdotal reports of success with Paraguard and Brook.

Would this spread to the other clown as well? I have never treated for Brooklynella, any advice on the Formalin dips- never done it.
