I have a couple of false percs I bought at my lfs as a pair not mated pair but a pair. Well one has become a bit larger ( 1/4 to 1/2 inch ) and darker than the other. The larger one is def. the more aggressive. I am sure that the larger one is now or turning to a female. Might have been that way whene purchased but You can really tell size diff in just three weeks , she is also pretty fat.
I noticed this morning the smaller guy had and was digging a fairly large hole in the sand bed and this evening i watched what looked like a mock mating dance no eggs but all the movements went on for about 5 min. Is this a mating sign or just clowns being clowns? How long does it take before a male and female show mating signs ? I am new to this and flat out love it . I have read several threads and found some tidbits but nothing that told me what my clowns were doing.
