new corals....

Depending on the coral I float for 30 minutes then put it in the tank. Zoos I don't acclimate. SPS acclimate for 45 min-1 hour.

I believe corals are more sensitive to tank parameter changes than fish. You can do a drip acclimation with some air line tubing. Tie a knot in itself to control the drip speed. 2-3 drops per sec is fine.

i found light acclimation is most important, i acclimate same as fish, i float for 15 minutes then i add a cup of tank water to the bag water every 10 minutes for about half hour, if salinity is not the same as my tank at that point i continue till it is..............then i put them on bottom with all lights off for about 2 hours, then 2 bulbs for 2 or 3 hours, 4 bulbs for the rest of the day...........6 bulbs the following day then all 8 the next day (8 bulb t-5)

i leave them be for a week then i move them where i want them, i cooked alot of money in the beginning, ive found this works
