New Crocea Clam - it falls off the rock..

My new clam is sitting up in the tank on a rock and it moves all the time and eventually falls down the rock. Any idea how to keep it up there securely?

Its just like RockStarFish stated. They will move if they are not happy in the place they are at. My crocea found a spot at the top it liked and has not moved again since we put it in there 2 1/2 yrs ago.

Our Deresea`s move around a bunch in the bottom of the tank till they get where they want to be for awhile and then go on the move again.

Dont try and force it to stay in one place or glue it down.

I`d say keep it in mid to moderate flow area. High flow keeps them from extending all the way out. Low to no flow wont be beneficial to them at all

The light is going to be the biggest factor as they are a higher light needing clam than the others

Aaaa....thats why my clam keeps detaching itself every couple weeks.
I am trying to sell it so I am trying to anchor it to a small rock in my tank so I can sell the whole rock and everything.
However, that is the only spot in my tank the rock will fit.
I originally wanted to sell the other clam but it is clamped down and doing great so I'm not going to bother it.

If you are selling it you would be better off putting it the sand bed. I wouldn't want to buy one on a rock because it will want to move in another tank.

Here is a pic of the new addition. It seems to stay in place now...
