New Duncan Head?

Hello all. This is my first duncan ever so I don't really have experience with them forming new heads. It looks like a new head to me, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

I started with one head six months ago now I have 9 with new bumps forming. Once they start growing they will surprise you with just how many heads start to appear.

San Angelo chiming in! My family has property in Brownwood that we go hunting/vacation at. Y'all must have it hard finding local livestock. Anyway, I was told that if your Duncan likes its conditions then it will grow surprisingly well. To be honest, I've had him for a month and he didn't show much until I started feeding reef chili about two or three weeks ago. I keep a pretty clean tank and I think he appreciates the extra food. Hopefully he will grow like crazy.

My Duncan closed up today and I took advantage of the opportunity to inspect the other head. It's growing a new one too! It's hard to tell from the picture, and it's not as far along as the other one, but it looks exactly the same in person. Yay!

We've got a pretty decent reef store here in town called aquatic edge. What I can't find there I just go online. Aquatic edge is the reef store.

Feed them larger food items like mysis shrimp they will appreciate the larger food items and reward you with faster growth. I target feed my acans, Duncan's and cynarinas at least twice a week. I have acans growing new polyps weekly. Here's mine

Keep an eye on the lower part of the skeleton looks like it has receded a little.

these are from 12/26/13 to 4/23/14. No current pic, but it is still sprouting heads.

Yeah that looked a little odd when I got it. I didn't know if they should go all the way down or not. I'll keep an eye on it.

As far as feeding, my Duncan can catch some of my food that's floating around the tank when I feed my fish. About half of the days, he is successful. He's at a pretty opportune location. Between that and the reef chili, he's a happy camper.

I just started corals few months ago. Pulsing xenia and radioactive dragon eye to start then picked up green star polyps and a Duncans 3 days ago. The three that are supposed to be weeds have barely grown. In three days the Duncan's have already grown a new head. Im going to really like this coral.

Now to get rid of the base its attached too but I dont want to stress it.

As someone that can grow SPS with no problem, I have a hard time growing zoas and coralline. I think it might be because my lights are too much, but at the same time, neither one of those grow in the shaded areas either. Go figure.

Glad to know Im not the only one. lol.

Hell I had to frag the xenia just to get it to spread.
