Just noticed some postule-like spots on my newly added yellow tang.I know they are notorious for Ich but am not sure if that is what it is. The spots do not appear white but more like raised areas. Hopefully it is just a stress induced reaction? I attached two photos

The aquarium has been established for 2 years. Healthy water chemistry.

SG is 1.025 with a swing arm hydrometer.

Fish was added the to the tank yesterday.

It was not quarantined

I do not use any Cu Medication

Lumpy pimples all over fish body. They do not have any real color to them.

The fish is acting very healthy. It is eating and very active in the aquarium. It is eating the bit of live macro-algae I have in the tank also ate some mysis shrimp.

Thank you for your time

Not ich, but something is going on with this fish. I doubt it is just ''stress" (Latin for "I don't know it is''. The ocean ha many parasites that we don't see often; but who knows? Wish I could be of more help.

Just my best guess: I'd wait to see if it gets worse or starts to improve. I don't like to just throw meds at a fish without knowing what it it is. You're going to need a QT/HT; its vital to use a QT with all new fish and for most treatment. One thing you can,and should, do with all fish is to treat for internal and external worms with Prazi-Pro. This can be done in your DT, it won't hurt anything except feather dusters. Your YT's problem could be some type of worm and the PP will help with that. Watch closely for any change in the Yt's appearance, appetite, of behavior---especially scratching on LR,etc. and watch other fish for anything new.
