nice wrasse, ive been thinking of getting one of those for my FO tank, but they seemed really aggressive at the LFS. That one was a good 10 inches though.
Nice additions
Are they going in your 100? Can we see a full tank shot once they are in?
Also I noticed the bags were in the tanks I hope you were periodically adding tank water and once the fish were acclimated you did not add the bag water to the tank.
Be careful with that Dragon Wrasse as it grows. They get ridiculously aggressive. Once mine hit about 9-10", he had to go because he picked on every fish in my tank including fish that were much bigger than him. They are one of the cooler looking Wrasse but just too aggressive for me. What is he going to be in with?
I like adult dragon wrasses, though they do look a LOT different from the juveniles. You should look this species up on wetwebmedia.com. There is a good article on them. They aren't called "Rockmovers" for nothing. As adults, dragon wrasses have different personalities and tank requirements. They get about 12 inches, but they are a whole lot of fish for their size. Not for everyone, but I think they are way cool. Probably just the ticket for someone with a large tank that hangs out on monsterfishkeepers.com.
We'll see how he develops. He can move all the rocks he likes. He's with a Popeye Catafula thats about 4"es. That one is also semi-aggressive. So I just need to feed them 2xs a day to keep that at bay.
Yes, they are in the 100 Gallon.. along with a couple damsels.. I'm sure their time is limited so prolly have to get rid of them in a few weeks. So far the Popey hasn't eaten anyone. And the wrasse just seems to be concerned with moving pebbles and isn't fin nipping.
The Popeye will get about 12-13" but is a slightly slower grower than the wrasse. Just keeping a close eye on them to see about the aggression level, but hen I'm used to that with my Dats.
