i have a pygmy angel, a lemon damsel( model citizen) and i got this fish before i knew he needed a large tank, a 3" sailfin tang, i know i should get rid of him, but hes small enough for my tnak right now i think, he eats fine, nad has been doing good for, i think its been 8 months sometime in march, he gtrew a little, and i haev a guy ready to take him when he starts to grow bigger

i have xenia some yellow polyps, shrooms, and a tiny tiny frag of GSP my friend have me, he wanted to practice fragging, so he cut the rock that had the purpe mat on it, it hasnet appeared yet though, but oh well i looks fine lol

I would suggest getting nothing more.

I will be the first to say it, that tang will outgrow a 29 in no tiime, at 3" it already is too big

tyodd ive heard that alot, he seems happy though, and it will be hard to give him away, hes a beautiful fish, but if he needs it to live i will give him away, im gonan let him grow just a tad bigger

haha, i was thinkin a percula, but i had bad luck wiht the 2 i tried, both were from petco htough when it was a FOWLR and i didnt know alot about stuff, now im well educated adn stuff haha

keep the suggestions a-comin

Trust me, I am bad about tangs in smaller tanks, but I feel that a 29 is too small, plus the effect on the bio-load. If it was me, I would just keep the angel and get a pair of true percs.

Any idea why the damsel died?

I'm partial to royal grammas myself. Very pretty, and once they get settled in, they stay out and about alot.

Your pygmy angel will be pretty aggressive to anything you try to add. I wouldn't risk it. And the damsel, if it's Amblyglyphidodon aureus, then it won't be too aggressive, but does get pretty big. If it's any other species, it too will probably get aggressive, if it isn't already. I'd consider more peaceful fish if you're looking to have more than one or two.

hth.,

i have a yellow fin fairy wrasse in one of my tanks and it is a very cool fish. it swims around all day - stays very visable.

a pair of true percs are always a classic choice as well.

my angel was actually a model citizen, it was nice to all my fish, but i haev indeed seen them take over tanks, i got him very small compared to other fish at the time so he wasnt to aggressive, i was thinking about percs, but right now im gonna work on my sump, wont get another fish for maybe a month or so... depends on how much money i have leftover once i get an overflow pump adn some pvc
