In Memoriam
I went to a LFS i never go to just to get fish food and see what they had and found a Nice sized Green with orange tips bta and out of curiosity i asked its price.....he said $35, so as you can tell I went home with more than just fish food.

in my opinion a steal compared to what I usually see them go for on atlantis etc., he is about 7" across or so.

He looks pretty happy to me what do you guys think, my clown loves him as well.

bleached like mine was when i got it it will get its color back but make sure to feed it until then

He looks bleached. Keep him under good lights and feed him regularly and in a month or so he should be coloring up nicely.
I hope you're not too attached to that color he is because he's going to be a totally different color if he lives.

#1 picture looks a little bleached. Also #1 picture looks odd because BTA's are found attached to rocks and that grouping of them looks like they're sitting on the black sand....strange.
#2 picture definitely looks bleached.
#3 picture could be natural color because it's a sebae nem and not a BTA.

It's hard to tell what color a nem will color up to be. If it's a clone you could probably tell by getting a good look at the healthy parent/split. Otherwise there's really no good way to tell other than to let time take its course.
The only way it would turn an "ugly brown" would be if it was something other than a BTA, and to me it definitely looks like a BTA so that means it's not really likely to turn into a color that doesn't fit your taste for your tank.
Personally I don't find anything in its natural and healthy state to be "ugly", just perhaps less desirable to the average aquarium enthusiast.

Just my .02, I'm not an expert or anything, just an above average reader and liker of anemones.
