New guy from Hong Kong

Lovely. LED Lighting?

How long you had your Chaetodontoplus conspicillatus? Looks around 5"? What is your temp and salinity range? I missed HK. Rare fish selections are much better and prices are better then here in NY... 5" is going price around $4000HK?

Thanks.
yes ,it LED!!
The chaetodontoplus conspicillatus is 5"arround but it cost me HK6000!!

And how strange in Hong Kong of chaetodontoplus conspicillatus is more expensive which it's .
Some big size like 8" is only $4000 and 3-4" is cost $10000.

It's hard to find an aggrressive eatting 眼鏡 at the market.:uzi:

Get me a Conspic!! 6000 hk isnt bad thats like 800 US! Too bad we cant get that kinda deal around here. By far my favorite angel.

Nice fish,

I see you have a Chrysurus angel. My LFS has a nice 5 " one and I'm thinking of getting it. Could you tell me if it is very aggressive?

Thanks.

Thats low price.
I assume the freight to HK is much lower than to America.
In HK u probably bought it from Richard who's the importer, im America they usualy dont buy from the importers.

Maybe,
But I guess Hong Kong much quickly to sold out than US,so
that seller can bear less rick for the fish die.
I am not sure.
But it seem Holacanthus clarionensis is much cheaper in US.
It's very expensive in HK especially after the oil accident.

Not many ppl can say they were able to keep a Holacanthus passer with other angels. But 2 Holacanthus passer together is quite interesting. :) How they interact with others?

Its a few months be for lunar new year, but I will go to HK for a few weeks may be I could drop by and say hi? Hehe

Welcome Lunner,
if you come to Hong Kong please call me to have a drink of something.
haha.
acturally,my bigger Holacanthus passer was already live in my tank for 3year.
It seem it was not very aggressive after a long time/.
And the small one is my friend give it to me,beacuse his passer is very aggressive against to his Holacanthus clarionensis.
I guess maybe I got a big passer already.

The turn over in HK is faster than US for sure, especially for high end fish.

There are certain fish like Hybrids that wont fetch a price anywhere but HK , they can go for over US$20,000 for a prime specimen.

For the Conspic, they are coming from New Caledonia, the freight is cheaper and the fact that it is selling direct to to the end cosumer makes it cheaper in HK than America.

On the other hand all the Clarions you see are exported from America itself to HK and other places, so America will be cheaper for that particular fish.
Now Clarion prices will go up till they will show up again in large numbers , when it was available in large numbers you could have got it in a pretty low price at Yat Wong, Hoi Kok and HK marine, also others.
