New lfs in m'boro?

A few weeks ago I heard through the grape vine there was a new lfs in the boro that carried salt water. They said it was over close to the VA or Northfield area somewhere and I thought they said it was called "The Jungle" or something like that. I've not been able to find it.

Anyone know about this or was this just false information?

Nope its there, Eric is the owner he is a pretty good guy. He was just starting saltwater last time I was there.

yea, I havent been in awhile, I went to look at snakes and then, all he had was like a 240 gal. tank setup with damsels for sale but said he was waiting for a SW order and had empty SW displays waiting. That was around Nov. last year though.

Its called the jungle its in a shopping complex by the intersection of Thompson Lane and broad street over by the VA hospital. I can't remember Eric's last name, but he is friends with Chris at the critter.

I am gonna stop by there this afternoon and see what they have. I did a yellow pages search on the jungle and then mapped it. it is off hwy 231 north. just outside thompson lane.

I don't think so. I believe you are thinking about the store in Bellevue. I hope others respond to clarify.

OK, so I paid the Jungle a visit today. they had about 12 tanks with SW in them and 1 large tank with rock and a bubble anem. he plans to use it for corals now and then get somethign like the critter. I mentioned to him a frag tank and he said someone else form our club had mentioned it as well. he is strongly considering the idea. he orderes every 2 weeks right now as his tanks have only been going about 5 months. Really nice guy. said he can order anything for you if you ask. I am looking for a goby other than a diamond and he said he would call me when he got his availability list. Also told em Chris at AC has been helping him out with advice etc.

all I can say is that it was a fairly clean store and I am SOOOOOO excited that we may finally ahve SW in the boro. All of yall that live this way need to stop by and have a look see. buy stuff, order stuff. help him establish!

BTW, it is Located on hwy 231 (Memorial) just inside Thompson Lane on the north side of Murfreesboro

I stopped by there today also. He said somebody else from the club had stopped by just a few minutes before.

I agree, super nice guy, said he would try to grab anything specific that you wanted. Shop is pretty small, so, he needs our support

I stopped by today too and was the one that mentioned the frag tank. Right now, he has pretty much only "basic" saltwater fish in a few tanks. They all looked ok... nothing to get too excited about. I think he's on the right track though. He definitely needs to rethink some of his filtration and some other methods. Its definitely welcome in m'boro though.
