new lighting with old mushrooms

I just recently upgraded my lighting from 65 watts of old pc lighting to 96 watts of t5 lighting. With the old lighting they were nice and fluffy and now it seems like they are not so fluffy and opening up all the way. They are mid to bottom of a 18 inch deep tank. Are they just getting used to the light or should I move them.

They are just mad at you. They will get over it, or they will move themselves, leaving babies in their path.
