New Lights in Aquapod

I have an Aquapod and am trying to upgrade the lights for my corals. Any suggestions? It's the 24 gallon.

You could put in 2 40W pcs if you move the end caps back (the ballast will handle it), but for the time and trouble, you could just as well go with one of the DIY nanotuner.com lighting upgrades.

I bought the Finnex 150w MH + actinics fixture from Nanotuners for my 24 gal AquaPod. I love it!

What types of corals are you planning to keep? That will help decide how strong your lighting needs to be.

Well I would like to go to hard corals. Right now I am just starting out with some soft corals. I have an evergreen starburst polyp in there, but it also could probably use some more light. If I go with hard corals, how much light would I need or can I go a little more or less that I need?

I have a 24G AP and got the 150W MH lights for it, i know i can throw anything in there, the stock light isn't the best, but you can replace it with a 14k phoenix and it will look really good.

also, check out nano-reef.com and you'll see how many ppl sell their gear.

good luck.
