new mushrooms growing from guts after fragging?

I fragged some of my weird orange hairy mushrooms for the first time the other day, usually I just let them kind of do their thing but I needed to get them smaller. The thing is after fragging them the halves spit out a lot of their insides, some of which healed and some of which just stayed out, and now the parts that stayed out are turning into new mushrooms.

I've never seen it happen with other mushrooms, usually they just heal up and that's it. These pics are after the pieces have been growing for about two weeks, they were really tiny at first, about 1/16" or so. Has anyone had this happen before? I kind of like the idea that every time I frag I'm getting like 30 new mushrooms

There is huge reefs of mushrooms like this were a storm blew threw tearing them to pieces guess that explains that...
