New nano reef lighting ideas

Hello everybody ,

I am setting up my nano reef ...a 45x45x45 cm reef cube (90 litres) , destined to keep LPS/soft corals and zoanthids only .

I am thinking of employing a DSB of 5 cms so the actual height of the mini-reef will be 40 cms.

Will a 70 W MH lamp at 14.000K be sufficent for the majority of these corals ?
I could go up to 150 watts but i am worried abt temperature issues and , in addition , i don't want to run lights that my LPS / Soft corals won't ''appreciate'' .What do you think ?

Will it be open top? If it is, you should be fine with 70 or 150watts, just blow a small fan across the surface to keep the temperatures down. I'd recommend the 150w MH just in case you plan on upgrading or keeping SPS in the future.
