Youll see that once you find the lens sweet spot your pictures are gonna explode.
Try aperture priority and if familliar use the manual mode.
Go for a smaller aperture(bigger f number say f11-f16 for more depth of field), longer shutter speed. you will need to bump the iso number up slightly.
It took me a while to find the best settings for my G10. Smaller aperture, tripod, low ISO, and exposure compensation have yielded the best results. You're going to have to tinker with the settings in order to find out what works best for you.
