Hey I love your landscape. I have 180 that I am slowly turning into a reef tank. Do you have any advice with that journy? I have about 200 lbs of live rock with some corals like candy canes, a hammer and some mushrooms. Thanks I Love Fish

Phil that aquascape is amazing. I hope you can give me some tips etc when I go to set up my new one. Have you or has anyone drilled their live rock and positioned it on pvc?

If so how is it done and what size drill would you use etc.?

sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread

Lorna, when my cousin owned my 90, he drilled out his live rock with a mason bit, and we used 3/4" PVC to stack the rock on.

This is the thread that I had found to get some great ideas about keeping the tank open as possible.

I still have a couple of rocks in my sump, but nothing bigger than a baseball. If I was to be setting up a tank from scratch, I would use the reef safe concrete and make a great rock fixture that I was only going to do once. The downside to that is that there is always somthing that you wish you would have done, but the upside is that once you get a good one, just let the coral grow and let it fill it in.

I ended up taking out several larger pieces and my only regret so far is that I waited so long.
