Hi All,

I actually believe this piece to be A. subglabra. They are similar to A. carduus but the incipient axial corallites are longer and less numerous.

I hope this helps you out. Keep it low and it should do well for you.

Chris @ RM

low eh, so move it to the edge of the reflector then ?

right now it is about centered under a 400w 20k xm in a lumenarc reflector that is about 20" above it

Tim

Yes, I would recommend placing it on the edge and almost in the shade (it still needs direct light though). I have one (as well as a A. carduus) that I have that is doing well about 30 inches or so from a 250 watt DE 20K that is extremely happy and growing.

Good luck with it,

Chris @ RM

sweet, thanks for the info, will move it out a little

so i guess a 400w 20k xm is plenty powerful at 20" above the water

Tim

that little green guy is just a yellow tort that is lying around. one of the many frags that i couldnt squeeze inot the display .

and btw, i have two pairs of fraggin snips right here, and a few ouces of super glue and a lot of ounces of whiskey. could make for a fun time.

Tim

Great! While you drink the whiskey I'll frag the hulk :D I may be able to swing by tomarow after work though. I'll give you a call to see what time your going to be home.

LOL :D

no you got it wrong, you drink the whiskey and i will tell you that the frag you got was the hulk, hehe, then i can also tell you that the digi is something better than it really is so i can off some of it on you. i just took two softball size pieces to redding and cant even tell i trimmed the colony back.

Tim

call me on my cell though.
