New Purple Gigantae Carpet

Its been a long road but I finally scored. This nem has been in captivity for quite a few years. It acclimated very well and seems quite happy. My clowns have abondoned thier LTA and are fighting over the Gig. Bigger than a basketball when fully open.

Its a 33gal cube inline tank, 1 drain of my 180 drains into this tank then it flows into a 100gal rubbermaid and back into the 180.
250 watt MH with actinics. One powerhead its similiar to a K3. Pretty decent flow.
1.025, 80, 8.1ph, around 40 nitrate, calc high, alk low haven't checked recently but thats been the trend.

Thank you the help the reason asking is I have one comming in next week. I have 400 mh over 50 gal . you keep the lamp that close to the water ? . What is tank temp. also I think I need to raise my nitrates they are under 5 . I have trouble keeping giganteas.
My other tank has haddoni and bubble tips they are fine.

Gigs are very hard to find healthy.
