New QD's: No Manufacture Date?

I have recently purchased 2 new (factory sealed) MP40QD's. Serial number & manufacture date was on the box, however not on the controller. Is this the new format or should I be concerned?

I just looked at my newest ( 6/30/16 ) MP40QD controller and I see that it does have the serial number on it. But no date.
I'm not concerned. If there was a issue and I didn't have the box, I'm sure I could find out all I needed by contacting ETM.

I have one I bought from 2015 that has serial number and manu date on the controller. I just bought one from 2016 and it has no sticker on controller. Weird! I would think they would still put it on. I've seen a few people say there isn't anything on the controller.

VorTechs, Radions and Vectras from 2016-present will have a serial number stamped on them, but no manufacturing date.
