i just purchased a rbta for my 46 gallon!! yahooo!!!
i already have a normal bta for a year.. but i think the color is too boring.. so today when i visited my lfs, some beautiful rbta's were already waiting for me to bring them home~ so i brought home one of them.. i'll post pictures later :D

well, i'm uploading the pictures now.. and no, im pretty sure a rbta is suitable for a reef tank as well, doesnt have to be a rbta only tank. (since ive had a normal bta for almost a year)

Well they aren't an LPS ... so not really. They are very popular because of their color and ability to host certain clowns ... you can check an anenome forum for compatibility charts between anemone's and clowns in the wild. That being said ... they do require strong lighting and when they get too big you can carefully 'frag' these anemone's into 2 equal sized anemone's.

Anyway ... that's a really gorgeous one. I'm glad it's hosting for you and your clown already.

i have sps and a clam in my tank. that being said, flow has to be decent, and i don't think anemones should be kept with high flow no?

But they do have a mind of their own. Periodically they go for a walk. During this walk they will, sting, kill, eat, knock over ....anything in the way. It is the second most problematic thing I put in my reef.
