New ricordiea problems...

I got a new ric from my LFS, i took it at the moment the shipping from abroad landed.
The polyp looks pail, its mouth is constantly open wide and it throws brown jellow (its symbiotic algea?).

Can i save is? i placed with medium light and low currents...

Its the ric at the bottom next to my pink ric...

i would say you can save it.looks like its going to be an orange ric or yuma but nice!

Yea it's a yuma. sounds and looks like it started to bleach. I'm sure it will come back given the proper water conditions, but be aware that if it is wild caught it will be harder to establish than an aquacultured one.

The gaping mouth is a bad sign sorry to say......But keep it shadowed from intense lighting and keep it low to mod flow....Most times once the mouth starts to open and gap like that it is a up hill battle that most don't win..... One other thing to help you out too, do not ever buy something that just got delivered from the warehouse or collector. Let the LFS hold on to it and deal with it, this way you can keep an eye on it for a few days before spending the money, this will also give you time to see if it is healthy and will make it from the stress....Hope it does well for you keep us posted on it's condition.
