No. I did not QT them. I just acclimated them and let them go.

They look like some type of onyx, but I haven't kept up with the clowns as much as I use to.

Rod is a breeder of beautiful Onyx clownfish. That's all. It's not a new breed or anything like that. Just some really kick*** fish.

Do you know how old they are?

They are juveniles, but that's all I know. They are 1.25" at the most. They still have a lot of growing to do.

this rate of dev. is prob. more amplified among diff. parents.

anyway, congrats on the new babies. looks like one of the babies has a high prob. of developing full onyx.

..Well, i guess i spoke without knowing..I really dont know the growth rate of Rod's clowns, but i can speak from my experience, they colored up in no time..so im guessing yours will to

what is considered a "full onyx?" and how can you tell looking at the fish? the reason i ask is because they look the same to me. thanks man,

I agree with Embryo- IMO Its all in the shading. When you see the shading suddently stops (see clown on the background of the picture).. its propbably going to end up as a regular perc. While on the other clown you can see the black connecting to the white (third bar)..So there is a big chance it will end up as an Onyx.

I'd be really happy with them...genetics isn't a fine art yet...they're beautiful fish man, it'll be amazing to watch them grow.

to be honest, i like the body shape of rods clowns more than the black coloring. alot of clowns have good black, but most do not have the stocky body most of his clowns dev.
